I'd like to think that 50 years of metahumans running around has changed events enough that politicians and circumstances are different, and I'm always a fan of not using RL people whenever possible in a comic setting. People can make someone who's similar to a RL person if they want to use that particular flavor of individual well enough. | ||

I think starting it in the present year is good. I do think we should dump some things however, obviously, that have happened in RL. I agree.
